Lake Kitandara Tented Camp (Moderate up-market)$$$:  Established in 1994 with thousands of satisfied guests over those years.  The tented camp has been renovated and updated in recent times. There are now 20 furnished tents.  The bathrooms have hot and cold water. There is  24 hour solar power.  Nice verandas overlooking the forest where you can at times observe Mountain Gorillas nearby.  You can charge your batteries in the bar of the tented camp.  The bar is separate from the restaurant and so you can enjoy your meal in quiet comfort.

International cuisine using local produce from nearby and thereby supporting the local community.

Lake Kitandara Tented Camp is a 5 minute walk from the park headquarters in the Buhoma area of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Lake Kitandara Tented Camp is a time tested camp in a beautiful setting and the staff is quite attentive to your needs.

• Buhoma Mountain Biking:  Ride 4 a Woman - a women's support group provides this wonderful service as another way to discover the community and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.  2 to 3 hour guided bike rides.  The Village Ride is a cultural experience on a Mountain Bike.
