park there are 463 species of confirmed birds, many of which are not found
in other regions of Uganda (60), this includes 56 species of raptors and

Day
One: We pick you up at
your accommodation in Kampala and take you to Entebbe airport
where you will board a light
aircraft that will take you on a short flight to one of the
most remotest regions of Uganda. Have lunch at the Apoka
lodge after you check in and find yourself up close with animals
even before you go on a game drive in the late afternoon. Don't
forget a dip in the fabulous pool. Full board for your stay

Late
Afternoon Game Drive through the Narus Valley where you will
sight herds of buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras and hopefully
some lions, leopard and the elusive cheetah. Besides that
there are the many birds you might find along the way.
This is a slow drive so that you do not miss anything, stopping
wherever you desire to take pictures of the fabulous wildlife
and birds, fauna and flora along the way.
Return
to the lodge for dinner to the sights and sounds of the Kidepo
Valley around you.
Day
Two: Arise to a fabulous
breakfast and a cup of coffee or tea while you peruse the landscape
and wildlife around you in the remotest corner of Uganda and
yet it is in class and style. The perfect African dream
vacation.
After
breakfast it is off to another exciting game drive across savannah,
hills, small forests, dry river beds and always the rings of
mountains around you. Animals and birds to observe, plants
and trees that will amaze you as they exist in this semi-arid
region of Uganda.
We are
off to Karankorog Hot Springs with lots of wildlife along the
way. No game drive is the same even if you took the same
route twice, there is always something new to seen and found.
The scenery, animals, birds will amaze you and it is best to
keep the camera close at hand to get the best shots along the
way.
Lunch
at Apoka Lodge and then it off for an afternoon with Karamajong
people for a cultural tour as to how this proud tribe that has
refused most influences for change. Their love for cattle
is comparable to the better known Maasai of Kenya and Tanzania.
Their ways are unique to them and they are a proud warrior like
people who believe that is their God given right to cattle,
even cattle belonging to others. You will see how they
live, how they prepare food, dance, enjoy life and what their
cattle means to them.
Return
to Apoka Lodge for dinner and a quiet night in the wilderness,
or should one say, a night where the only music are the sounds
of the African night in Kidepo Park.
Day
Three: Another fabulous breakfast
as you wake up to the sounds of birds you might have never heard
before. Enjoy the wonderful breakfast prepared for you, a true
culinary delight and of course there is the presentation.
Morning
game drive-exploring this fabulous, remote park for its wildlife,
its many birds and simply enjoying the experience of viewing
animals so close to the vehicle. It is surely a most breath
taking experience.
Lunch
back at Apoka Lodge, enjoying an afternoon of relaxation along
the pool or taking a guided nature walk looking for animals
on foot. Dinner and a quiet night at Apoka Lodge.
Day
Four: The last breakfast
at Apoka Lodge, something to be missed. Then a guided
birding nature walk , lunch at the lodge and all good things
somehow end...your return to Entebbe, but keep your camera ready
for some great aerial shots along the way.
