Enjoy Uganda - Entertainment Kampala Style
Things you will not find in your Home Country


Wherever you go turn, wherever you go there is music and people swaying and dancing to the beat. Music, Dance in Uganda is as normal as breathing.  It would be a shame if as a visitor to Uganda you would miss that.  Below are a few places and groups that I have enjoyed on several occasion, places and events that I take my out of town visitors to.  Enjoy Kampala.


  • Ndere Center:  The Ndere Troupe has been around for many years performing the songs and dances from various tribes in Uganda.  An evening that will simply delight you as you watch various performers in traditional dress charm the audience with skills in dance and musical instruments that are just great.  You can have some snacks or dinner before the troupe entertains you and eat some traditional foods.  This is a must for Tourists.


  • Afrigo Band:  Every weekend you can find the best Ugandan band in Uganda perform at Club Obbligatto on Old Bell Road in Kampala.  Get ready for a most fantastic Ugandan evening.


  • National Theatre:  Corner of Siad Barre Av and De Winton Road.  You can check the notice board as to what play is being performed as you visit the Crafts Market there.


  • Pride Theatre: Is also known for meaningful plays with an African Touch.


  • Didis World:  Located in Kansanga and Uganda's version of Disneyland. Many a weekend Ugandan artists put on a concert there.  The cost is quite low, the music is loud, the crowd is large and you have never seen or been part of anything like that.
