Uganda - land like no other in Africa, in the world.  A place where you can simply enjoy the people, the scenery, the wildlife, the accommodations, the restaurants, the many national parks, and of course the holiday weather that is here all year long.

From the moment that you land in Uganda you will feel simply at home here, you will enjoy the friendliness and the gentle spirit of Uganda's people, one of Uganda's greatest assets.  As you drive along the road leading from the Entebbe airport to the city of Kampala the sounds of music will reach your ears, and here it is all about music, celebrating life, dancing whenever the beat of a song touches you, whether it be in small pub or a large church.  Ugandans love to dance, music is part of experiencing the real Uganda.

It is my hope that you will enjoy the dance of life in Uganda and the celebration of the moment unlike anywhere in the world.  Your hotel, guesthouse, backpacker hostel is there ready to serve you.  No matter what your budget, needs or desires.  From world class hotels such as the five start Serena to the Red Chili Hideaway for those who want to experience Uganda on a budget, you will enjoy what Kampala has to offer.

There is much in Uganda, on the equator, yet a temperate climate due to the elevation of the country.  There are the mountains of the moon, the Rwenzoris with its year around snow and glaciers, one right on the equator, attracting mountaineers from around the world, and who could even forget the mountain gorillas, the lions, the elephants, hyenas, warthogs, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, over one thousand species of birds.  Yes Uganda has so much, and best of all, it does not have the big crowds of tourists roaming through it.

When one thinks of Uganda, some infamous president comes to mind, but for those who have visited Uganda, there are the savannas, the rain forests and jungles, the mountains, the rivers, the many lakes, but mostly the people of Uganda.

Uganda is off the beaten tourist path, 600,000 tourist come to Uganda every year, about 200,000 are tourists coming on safaris. A blessing for you, Uganda has all the animals of other safari countries, but has the advantage of being less crowded and has the most Mountain Gorillas in Africa.

We look forward here in Uganda to greeting you and helping you discover the pearl of Africa, off the beaten track - Uganda-gifted by Nature. 25% of the country is covered by lakes, there 1008 species of Birds, 342 kinds of mammals, 132 are large mammals and various kinds of reptiles, including the Nile Crocodiles, lizards and tortoises and snakes.  The weather is near perfect, the country is one of the most bio-diverse ranging from a mountain range that is glacier covered and dotted with snow caps to flat savannas, and rain forests that by themselves are worth an exploration...we do look forward to greeting you here in Uganda...jon
