Safe and Secure Safaris in Uganda

From Airport Pickup to Airport drop-off at Entebbe International Airport, your well being, Safety and Security is foremost on our minds at Kabiza Wilderness Safaris Ltd.

On July 11, 2010 two venues filled with World Cup Final revelers were bombed.  Most Safari Tour companies are looking at they way they handle the wellbeing, safety and security of their clients while on Safari with them in Uganda.

Below are some of our ways that we make sure that your time in Uganda is pleasant and enjoyable and that you are able to do and see what you desire in Uganda.

  • Pickup at airport by our professional drivers

  • Stay at a smaller hotel in the outskirts of Kampala where there is 24/7 security - this is done, for up-market, moderate and budget travelers.

  • We provide Private Safaris just for you -you are not put together with 6 or others that you do not know and might not like.

  • We pre-book all of your lodgings and give you a choice of them, we do make recommendations as to what is better or we feel more secure.

  • The driver guide is with you morning to evening and when you are on a game drive you are with the added security of a trained Uganda Wildlife Authority Wildlife, Birding expert, but he also knows about security.

  • Most National Parks are a long distance from Kampala with its bustling crowds and are deemed safe by security experts.

  • We have canceled the city tour of Kampala until further notice, since it is not just about making a profit but the well being of our customers is on our minds.

  • We pick Safari Lodgings with adequate security staff and we check with lodgings whether they have increased their security since July 11, 2010.

  • Safari guests are cared for from pickup to drop-off by their Ugandan driver guides.

  • We pick alternate routes of travel that we deem safer for our guests.

Travelers are enjoying their time in Uganda.  The local nightlife spots have lost the most business and have a fraction of people turning out that they had before the bombings. Bars and night spots are supposed to close at 10 pm, well in Uganda that is when the nightlife begins and bar owners claim that they have not bee notified..  We recommend that you do not go out and enjoy the local nightlife.  It is two such places that were targeted by terrorists from al-Shabaab.

Churches are adding security for their services and the traditional Friday Night to Saturday morning prayer meetings have been cancelled. Some Churches will be issuing Church Identity cards for added security.

Uganda - is a lovely, friendly place, this coming week more of the African Union Head of states will be arriving and it seems no one is cancelling their time in Uganda.

Reality is, no one can guarantee your safety a 100% anywhere in the world, what one can say that Uganda has stepped up the plate to make it safe for its citizens and visitors.

We greet you in advance with a traditional welcome -"You are most Welcome in Uganda."
