Nshongi Camp (Budget)$: A lovely rustic camp - near the park entrance at Rushaga - you can spend the night in the middle of the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable forest - around 40 USD per night per person pending on the current USD to Uganda Shilling rate.  This includes all meals and also a packed lunch when you go Gorilla Tracking.

There is no electricity - but paraffin lamps - candles- campfire nightly - at times with Rushaga Young Star dancers - you can also visit the local Bafumbira and Batwa Pygmy communities nearby

There are 3 bandas  which are African style cottages available for you - coffee and tea available all day along with sodas or beer for purchase.

It is a good base for tracking the Nshongi and Mishaya Gorilla Groups - the Nshongi has 25 members in the group and the Mishaya group has 10.  You can hike and go birding from this location and be in eh midst of the forest.

It certainly is not the Holiday Day Inn - or even the discount Motel 6 - but it is an experience in the ancient rainforest - and sometimes the experience weighs in more than the comfort.

You are also with the local people of the ancient forest which is certainly a big plus.
