Your lodging can be right at the park with up-market or budget, moderate in Kisoro town.  We stop off for lunch at Mbarara at the Lakeview Hotel and back on the road through some of the nicest scenery in Uganda.  We reach our lodging in the late afternoon and check in to our lodging.  Simply enjoy the sunset, especially if you are on Lake Mutanda.  Enjoy dinner which is included in the package since it is all inclusive with exceptions of drinks and tips.

Day Two:  It is off to Mountain Gorilla tracking (trekking) at Mgahinga Gorilla Park in Uganda. This can be an all day affair and we pack a lunch for the journey, but being in close vicinity to these magnificent animals is simply awesome.  If the gorillas are not in the park but on the Rwandan side we will do the Golden Monkey tracking (trekking) hike.

If the Gorillas are on the Rwanda side we will do the alternative Golden Monkey tracking (trekking) which will be an exhilarating experience.  In both cases we take a packed lunch for the journey.

We return in the afternoon and maybe take a shower and refresh ourselves with a drink and then off to a sunset boat ride on Lake Mutanda, birds, scenery, simply lovely.

Dinner at our lodging facility and a good night's rest.

Day Three:  An all day birding hike to the Sabinyo Gorge Trail winding its way into bamboo forest, along a stream into a forested gorge.  The Bamboo Forest provides an opportunity to see the Golden Monkey and you might also see the Handsome Francolin, Kivu Ground Thrush and Regal Sunbird.  The forest made up of evergreen trees is an area where you can find Rwenzori Turaco, Western Green Tinkerbird, Olive Woodpecker, African Hill Babbler, Archer's Ground Robin, Rwenzori Batis, Montane Sooty Boubou, Lagden's Bush Shrike, Strange Weaver and others.  (A mountain climbing hike can be done as an alternative)  Packed Lunch.
