Entebbe was the colonial capital of Uganda.  Cooled by breezes from Lake Victoria, Palm Trees, a beautiful botanical garden, a sleepy town straddling the equator, views of the lake, Uganda Wildlife Preserve, hotels with sandy beaches on Lake Victoria and that is just the beginning.

Morning pickup at your hotel in Kampala and a drive out to Entebbe.  The first stop is the town of Entebbe and a turn to the Botanical Gardens of Entebbe.  There we are near Lake Victoria and get to walk along the beach, see some of the most fantastic tropical plants one can find and be in the place where one of the first Tarzan movies is rumored to be made.

There are a variety of monkeys, birds and butterflies to be found there and you will spend a most peaceful morning in a most relaxing place.

Lunch is along the beach, a sandy beach at that.  Where shade is provided by large palm trees and you can order grilled tilapia whole, pizza, some Indian dishes, and a refreshing cool drink.

After lunch it is up the road to the Uganda Wildlife Preserve where you will see most of the species resident in Uganda.  We walk along the various paths ending up at a beach side restaurants for refreshments before our drive back home to Kampala.
