Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge (up-market)$$$$$:  You cannot get further away from it all and yet be in total comfort.  Not many places such as this anywhere in the world.  Lovely award winning lodging facility - simply one of the best, but you will need gorilla permits in the Nkuringo Sector of the park. 

This is the most expensive facility in the park and your money goes to do some good in the local community in the area.  A sizeable portion of the lodging proceeds are committed to development of the local area and people benefit from the gorillas.

There are only 8 rooms done in natural stone fashion.  The rooms are exquisitely furnished and you have views of both the forest and the Virunga Volcano Chain with its majestic peaks.  A nice feature is fireplaces in the Lodge.

Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is not for everyone's pocket book, but it certainly is an experience and the food is fabulous.  Recipes are carefully followed by expert chefs and the result is a feast for the senses.

There is  running water, hot and cold, electricity and all of your needs are met, most of the time before you ask, by a delightful staff.  You even have your own personal butler.
