Buhoma Lodge (Up-Market - Luxury)$$$$:  This lodge has been consistent in value and up-market comforts.  Some rooms have tubs and are most comfortable and give you that perfect resting place the day before or after Mountain Gorilla Tracking.

The food is superb and well prepared in a caring fashion, you are pampered in the Ugandan rainforest of Bwindi. Even your packed lunch for Gorilla Tracking is done nicely.

Guests love this place and in up-market pricing is in the middle of the range.

Buhoma Lodge is certainly one of the better National Park Accommodations in Uganda.

Gorilla Resort (Up-Market Luxury)$$$$:  Luxury in the Impenetrable Bwindi Forest. Cottages and furnished en-suite African luxury tents provided for you, attractive furnishings all overlooking the Bwindi Forest.

Enjoy meals that are prepared to the highest standard, all in an intimate setting designed for you to get the feel of your surroundings and be in touch with nature with class and style.

This certainly unlike home, but in way that you would like to stay a bit longer than a day or two.

Engagi Lodge (Up-Market Luxury)$$$:  A newly opened facility that is definitely classy and in a setting that is simply superb.  It was designed with nature and harmony in mind, bringing you closer to this magnificent area as you come here to go Mountain Gorilla tracking, birding, nature and village walks.

There are 8 en-suite cottages, solar powered.  The lodge was built by local laborers and Engagi contributes to the local community in many different ways.

The food is prepared by well-trained chefs and delights the palate.  Engagi means Gorilla in the local language and it certainly has been well received by visitors to the Bwindi area.

Silverback Lodge (Up-Market Luxury)$$$: This is new (June 2008) lodge constructed by GeoLodges known for their thoughtful and harmonious, eco-friendly Lodges in various places in Uganda.  Made from local material that will astound you.

Food is well prepared and will delight you as you are perched high on a mountain overlooking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.  Even Queen Elizabeth Park Ishasha sector is only two hours away.  Besides Mountain Gorilla Tracking, the possibilities are endless.

Lake Kitandara Tented Camp (Up-Market)$$$:  Established in 1994 with thousands of satisfied guests over those years. There are 20 nicely furnished tents.  The bathrooms have hot and cold water.  24 hour solar power.  Nice verandas overlooking the forest where you can at times observe Mountain Gorillas nearby.

International cuisine using local produce from nearby and thereby supporting the local community.

Lake Kitandara Tented Camp is an excellent, time testes camp in a beautiful setting and the staff is quite attentive to your needs.

Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget)$-$$:  Bandas (cabins) basic furnishings, African and International Food is prepared.  The beauty is that is a project of Buhoma Community and supports the community and that certainly is a good thing.

It has been used by people from around the world and has proven to be a place of value for the money.
