Buhoma Community Rest Camp
is located in the Buhoma area of Bwindi Forest just a two minute
walk from the Park Headquarters where you have to go for your
Gorilla Tracking orientation before going off into the forest.
This is a local community
project and benefits the people of the area around Buhoma. So
you are not only getting lodging for the night but assisting the
local community by your stay at Buhoma Community Rest Camp.
Lunch and Dinner are
served with two options for you to choose from, the food is
prepared in a nice manner and served by capable staff.
Buhoma
Community Rest Camp is a basic accommodation but with some added
touches that make your stay comfortable. The rooms of the
Bandas and Tents are clean and comfortable. Hundreds stay
here and write nice things about it.
They offer some activities
such as a community walk visiting villagers in their traditional
ways and also mountain biking trips through some of Bwindi
Forest.
