Birdnest @Bunyonyi
(up-market): $$$
Birdnest opened late
in 2009 and since then it has become a favorite place to
stay on Lake Bunyonyi for many.
The rooms with its style and decor, the view from most
everywhere of the lake, the islands, the surrounding
countryside is simply beautiful.
Add on to of the view, quality
service, Belgian food with a Ugandan twist using local
dishes such as crayfish and you
have a winning combination for the guests at Bird Nest.
Most of our guests who
have stayed there have simply loved it. You can swim
in the Bilharzia Free Lake or the resort's swimming pool,
the choice is yours. The climate is pleasant, there is
a soft breeze from the lake all meaning comfort for you.
You can sit below at
the restaurant, or on your balcony and drink in the scenery
before you. Lake Bunyonyi has always had the scenery,
but never Birdnest at Bunyonyi - they provide a wonderful
combination for the visitor to this most beautiful part of
Uganda.
Imagine - terraced
hillsides, emerald islands, a lake that is shimmering in the
middle of the day reflecting the sun and yet the temperature
is just right for you to enjoy this gorgeous part of Uganda.
Though Birdnest is
relatively new it brings the ancient customs of excellent
customer service, a delightful cuisine and ambience to you.
You can spend your
day, boating, swimming, exploring some of the islands or
take a guided nature walk along the shore and see villages,
farms that are perched on hillsides, different from the game
drives and the primate tracking you might have done, but
another side of Uganda.
Birdnest is the
perfect place to rest after a long gorilla tracking walk at
Bwindi-a time of leisure, a break in the midst of the safari
that you will not soon forget.
The management is
Belgian and the Staff Ugandan. Delightful Belgian,
Ugandan and continental food created with local ingredients.
Check out the ice-cream.
Our Clients have
