any compromise - we give you the ability to choose desired activities and
lodging.
Day 1 - The 7 Day Uganda African Wildlife
and Mountain Gorilla Safari
begins: Leaving Kampala
early in the morning after breakfast at your Hotel.
Drive toward
Bwindi National Park
through the Ugandan
Countryside. Once at Bwindi
we will register you at your choice of lodging - better
or budget according to your wishes.
The location
of lodging can depend on where your permit is for in
the park and your preferences for lodging at Bwindi. Lunch at a Lakeview Hotel in Mbarara along
the way, dinner once you reach your lodging destination.
Day 2 - The day of the Gorilla tracking
(trekking) adventure at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest:
An early breakfast and then a pre-tracking (trekking)
briefing to go over guidelines for you and your safety.
The Gorilla tracking (trekking) begins soon afterwards
and can be from a short walk to an all day hike
through rough terrain (No one under 15 years of age).
Lunch and a visit to a pygmy village (depending on time
still available). That evening dinner at your
lodging place and rest.
The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Gorilla tracking (trekking) day is certainly an experience
of a lifetime and something that remains with you for
a long time. There is nothing like seeing a giant
Silverback Gorilla or a Mother and Baby Gorilla up close.
Day 3 - The Uganda Wildlife Safari moves
on: An early breakfast once again and departure for
Queen Elizabeth National Park and
your
choice of accommodations. Lunch and then later anafternoon game drive in the shadows of the Rwenzori
Mountains. Lots of game to be seen here from lions
to elephants, from hippos to leopards and more.
Day 4 - Queen Elizabeth Park Wildlife
Safari: Early rise and then a sunrise game drive. Afterwards
there is a sumptuous
breakfast, that morning you will also go and see the
crater areas with their breathtaking view. Afternoon
boat ride on the Kazinga channel with all of its wildlife
and abundance of birds. Then it is off to an evening
game drive, dinner and rest at your lodging place.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth
Park -
Chimpanzee tracking
(trekking) - & Night Game Drive:
Another great breakfast \. This morning it is
off to Kyambura Gorge for Chimpanzee tracking (trekking).
This is a relative easy walk guided by a Uganda Wildlife
Authority Ranger who will guide you to the place where
the chimps are. They move nightly so it takes
the skills of an experienced ranger to guide you to
the chimpanzees.
Lunch at your choice of lodging
We return to our lodging facility
for an early dinner after which we will take a nocturnal
game drive. A newly added feature at Queen Elizabeth
Park. You will find the creatures of the night
moving about and even if your camera cannot take good
shots, it is an awesome experience.
Day 6: We move to
Lake Mburo
National Park: It is early breakfast and
off to Lake Mburo National Park. The perfect place
to break a long journey at one of the most delightful
places in Uganda.
You can stay at one of the classy
up-market tented camps that are eco-friendly and simply
one of the nicest places you have ever stayed at or
you can stay at the budget facility.
We arrive
for an afternoon lunch and check-in and then it
is off to leisurely cruise around the lake. There
is much wildlife to be seen from hippos to crocodiles,
birds of all kinds, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes and
much more.
We return
for some afternoon rest and then it is off to a sunset
walk with a Uganda
Wildlife
Authority Ranger. Again you will seem lots more
animals and after the walk it is dinner at your lodging
with a well deserved night of rest.
Day 7 -
The Safari week is
about to come to an end: It is breakfast and an
early morning game drive through the five lake game
park, viewing the fabulous animals and birds in a lovely
setting of acacia trees dotted savannah.
Checkout
afterwards and a journey back to Kampala, on the way
we stop at Masaka for lunch, back toward Kampala stopping
at Nabusanke Trading Center where you can stand on the
equator, also buy some souvenirs and crafts then on
to Mpambire where you can observe the Buganda Royal
Drum Makers and even buy a few, back on our homeward
journey where we arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon.
A week of Uganda's best will remain with you for a long
time to come.
