Murchison Falls National Park-Fishing Wildlife Safari

Day One:  Depart Kampala at 6:30 am heading for the Prime Fishing and Wildlife Destination in Uganda - 4 days of action and adventure for you.

The drive is through charming and idyllic African Villages with lots of Banana Plantations, the color green is everywhere and we will stop wherever you want for some picture taking opportunities.

Luwero and Masindi are along our path and soon we venture into Murchison Falls Park.  We head for the top of the falls where you can see the power of Nature unleashed before your very own eyes. Winston Churchill stood here in1907 and simply marveled at was before him.  Most do - the River Nile- 50 meters wide - tumbles through the six meter wide Devil's cauldron down 43 meters and in the distance continues its journey toward Egypt.

We check into the lodging of your choice in Paraa Area. Lunch and bit of rest before an afternoon game drive across the savannah.  The vehicle is equipped with a pop up roof so that you have the best opportunities for unimpeded wildlife viewing.  A UWA guide in on board the vehicle to point out wildlife that most otherwise might miss.  Lions, Leopards, Elephant herds, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Warthogs, various kinds of antelopes, Monitor Lizards, an abundance of various birds and more.

Day Two:  Early morning breakfast and off you are for another game drive across the savannah, along Lake Albert Delta, abundant wildlife as you move slowly as the sun rises.  Welcome to Africa.  What you are sensing and feeling, seeing around you cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world, this is Murchison Falls with its birds, lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes, humorous appearing warthogs. This is Africa and you are on safari in the heart of it - Uganda.

After lunch it is one of the highlights of your Murchison Falls National Park Safari, the boat launch trip up the Nile River.  Slowly moving along the river bank viewing crocodiles, an abundance of hippos, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lots of birds including the fish eagle, storks and so much more. The boat moves gently up the river and stay on the left hand side so that you see most of the animals who come to the river.  Herds of Elephants cooling off, Hippopotamus frolicking, crocodiles just dozing in the African sun.

Then there are the Murchison Falls which are an awesome display of the power of nature.  This time you view them from below and will have lots of opportunities for great shots.

The journey down river slowly begins and more opportunity for viewing animals before you return to your lodging for dinner and an evening of rest and relaxations, don't miss spotting some storks, eagles, egrets and many other birds, there are also a variety of primates to be found on the shores.  Enjoy the Nile.

Dinner

Day 3: Breakfast and it is Fishing day at Murchison Falls.  You will have a proper boat and guides to assist you on your day of fishing in Africa.  Packed lunch will be with you - all tackle is available for you and you are off in search of Nile Perch, Catfish of various sizes and Tiger Fish again various sizes-there are also smaller fish, some which are used as bait.  Nile Perch can easily run around 75 kilos here - amazing for a fresh water fish.

Fish in the pools below Murchison Falls - wildlife near you, the falls beside you, the setting alone is amazing.  This is sports fishing at its best in the African Wild.  A combination of great fishing and fantastic scenery - you are here - the fish are about to bite - get ready.

Dinner

Day 4:  Breakfast and it is choice time - Chimpanzee Tracking or a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.  The choice is yours - please indicate which is your choice when you write to us.

Lunch at either place - with chimp tracking - you will also get in a guided Forest Walk.

Arrive in Kampala in late afternoon or evening.
